Announcing the Winners of the 2024 Jacques Maritain Prize in Nonfiction

Dappled Things is pleased to announce the winners of our 2024 Jacques Maritain Prize for Nonfiction, named for the 20th century Thomist philosopher and Catholic convert whose work covered a wide range of topics, including literature and art. Each year, we recognize three nonfiction narratives for their exemplary thoughtfulness, scope, and beauty.

Many thanks to Dappled Things editors Ann Thomas, Brian Prugh, Leah Miller, Sarah DeCorla-Souza, Bernardo Aparicio Garcìa, and Rhonda Ortiz for selecting this year’s winners.

We encourage you to take a look (or a second look) at these fine essays, linked below.
